NEPRA decides to increase electricity rates by Rs 3. 28 under three-month adjustment

Islamabad: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has decided to increase electricity prices by Rs 3.28 under a three-month adjustment.

The NEPRA has sent its decision regarding the three-month adjustment to the federal government. Sources said that after approval of the federal government the increase will apply.

The increase will additional burden on discos consumers of whopping Rs 159 billion.

The NEPRA has taken the decision for adjustment in a fourth three- month of financial year 2022 to 2023. The electricity consumers will have to pay additional payments for six months.
