Web Desk: Death Anniversary of playback singer Zubaida Khanum was observed on Thursday.
She started her career as a playback singer in Lollywood in 1951 from the film Billo. She soon gained recognition for her soulful voice.
In addition to singing, Khanum also made a name in numerous movies in the 50s as an actress.
She recorded over 250 songs during 1950s and 1960s.
Her Punjabi tract ‘Assan jaan ke meet liye ankh wey’ from the movie ‘Heer’ is still popular among fans today.
