Rawalpindi: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench on Monday ordering de-sealing of Sheikh Rashid Lal Haveli overturned the earlier verdict of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB).
Single bench of the LHC comprising Judge Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf abolished verdict of the ETPB for cancelling its registry and sealing the Lal Haveli.
The court has ordered the ETPB to conduct hearing of the ownership case regarding Lal Haveli once again.
The court in its order said that the petitioner Sheikh Siddique be allowed to present his point of view fully.
Justice Mirza Waqas Raud declared that a law has been enacted in India and the matter of the evacuee properties solved for good. But our departments don’t run as per the law and they are activated on their wish.
