Karachi: The by-elections held in the five districts of Malir. Kemari, Eastern ,South and Central were also held in the name of People’s Party.
A large number of people came to cast their votes at all 121 polling stations in Malir, Kemari, East, South and Central districts of KarachiMayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab succeeded by defeating his rival Jamaat-e-Islami and TLP in UC Thira Sadr Town Guzri. On reaching Guzri, the Jiyalas welcomed Mayor Karachi with bangles and fireworks, Murtaza Wahab said on his victory that Karachi’s service was rewarded today in the form of victorySalman Abdullah Murad of the People’s Party was declared successful from all the polling stations of UC7.
Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab was the candidate of PPP for the chairman’s seat in UC-13 Clifton, while Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Nurul Salam and Sikandar of TLP were also in the field, but the victory was in the name of PPP.
