Lahore: The anti-corruption team arrested the assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Islampura police station red-handed while taking bribe.
According to the anti-corruption spokesman, Assistant Sub-Inspector Ramzan, posted at Islampura police station, Lahore, had taken a bribe to acquit the brother of the petitioner in a case.
The spokesman says that the anti-corruption team raided along with the magistrate and recovered marked notes from the accused.
According to the spokesman, the accused ASI Ramzan already had collected 13 thousand rupees from the petitioner.
