Aerial firing echoes across Karachi injuring 25 people on new year night despite police warning

Karachi: Karachi on one hand welcomed the new year with splendid fireworks on the other people could not themselves from aerial firing despite the police warning of punishment as 25 injured around the city.

Whole of the world celebrated the new year with dashing and colorful fireworks while in Karachi as clock turns 12 am whole of the city were echoed with aerial firing.

According to rescue officials, three people injured owing to the aerial firing in Liaqutabad, one sustained injuries in Gulberg near Payala hotel while he was shifted to a private hospital. Another person wounded near Chaman Atar mosque in Orangi town.

Whereas 22-year-old in New Karachi sector 5, 17-year-old youth in Malir Model Colony, 55-year-old Umar Farooq near Halar Bagh in Garden on Nishtar road were injured.

Furthermore, a 10-year-old injured near Nehal hospital in Malir Kalaboard with a bullet in his house coming from unidentified direction.

While 25-year-old Haris injured in Joharabad Federal B Area block 14, 17-year-old Kamran sustained injuries near Saima Arabian in Mangopir.

While 35-year-old Amar wounded near Fariya round about in Scheme 33 of Sachal area. A 32-year-old Farhan injured near Super Market, Liaqutabad Dakkhana while 25-year-old Abdul Rasheed wounded with unknown bullet in Kalakot area in Liyari .

The rescue officials apprised that injured were shifted to near by hospitals around the city.
