RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir , has arrived United Kingdom to participate in the 7th Regional Stabilisation Conference. During his visit, he is scheduled to deliver a keynote address on “The Emerging World Order and Pakistan’s Future Outlook.”

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the conference serves as a key platform for high-level military dialogue between Pakistan and the UK, bringing together policymakers, military officials, and strategic experts to discuss regional and global security challenges.

Upon his arrival, General Munir was accorded a formal reception, including a ceremonial Guard of Honour at the historic Royal Horse Guards Parade Ground.

Senior UK military officials and dignitaries were present to welcome the Pakistani army chief.

Their engagements included meetings with British Chief of the Defence Staff Admiral Tony Radakin, Chief of the General Staff of the British Army General Sir Roland Walker, and the UK’s National Security Advisor Jonathan Nicholas Powell.

Army Chief will also meet with British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper. The meetings will involve discussions on mutual challenges and highlight the need for close cooperation.

During the visit, Army Chief will also visit key units of the British Army, including the Land Warfare Centre and 1st Strike Brigade, where he will be briefed on the British Army’s modernization efforts and operational strategies.

Pakistan and UK share a long-standing relationship built on historical foundations, characterized by strong ties in diplomatic, economic, and security sectors. Close cooperation continues between the armed forces of both countries, particularly in the fields of counter-terrorism and professional training.

The visit comes at a time of shifting global geopolitical alignments, with the conference offering an opportunity for both nations to exchange perspectives on evolving security dynamics.
