Active cases in Sindh still high as of today there are 48,500 active cases in the province which is higher than Punjab which has 24, 044 cases.
Children are innocent but lack maturity and opening of schools could be dangerous for their lives.
Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah for opening of schools announced some protocols and said that teachers, staff and parents should be vaccinated before schools reopen.
In this regard, Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah said schools would reopen with only 50% of students in attendance, while the educational institutions that have a full vaccination rate will be allowed a 100% student strength.
The minister said closing and reopening schools was not the solution and said a different method should be adopted which does not harm the students’ education.
Announcing precautionary measure he said that “One of the parents of a student will have to submit their NADRA-issued vaccination certificate to the school administration,” he said.
He said what we decided is in favor of children and their parents.

It is pertinent to mention here that earlier schools opening were announced on August 23 but high positivity ratio in the province, government extended the date of opening of schools so that teachers, schools staff and parents of the children could be vaccinated.
There is also need to make proper protocols for coronavirus which could be implemented in the educational institutes.
The protocols, which can be formed by taking on board all stake holders including teachers, schools owners, parents and the government because life of every child is precious and needs to be cared.
