ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari is set to address a joint session of parliament today, on the beginning of the second parliamentary year of the current National Assembly (NA).
The joint session of parliament will held today on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and it will presided by Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq.
In his speech, President Zardari is expected to review the government’s accomplishments from the past year while setting the agenda for the upcoming year. He will highlight significant achievements, especially in economic policy and their effects on the nation.
President Asif Ali Zardari will also stress the importance of national unity and consensus on key national issues. Additionally, he will provide a policy statement regarding regional concerns, focusing on the Kashmir and Palestine issues, including the situation in Gaza.
National security will be a critical topic as well, with President Zardari addressing strategies to tackle the ongoing challenge of terrorism.
