Karachi: The government of Sindh has decided to auction useless government vehicles within a month.
A meeting of sub-committee of the Sindh cabinet in the Chair of Senior as well as transport Minister Sharjeel Memon has taken the decision.
Provincial Ministers Saeed Ghani, Zia Ul Lanjar, Ali Hassan Zardari and secretaries of different department were in attendance.
The provincial government also decided to buy electrical vehicles for the government employees.
Sharjeel Memon said that the government will get benefit in buying the electrical vehicles.
Committee members have directed to follow clear guidelines to regulate the allotment of government vehicles.
The secretaries of the different departments presented 10 years details of the government vehicles.
The Senior Minister said that the government is determined using people resources in a transparent and ensuring the accountability of it.
He said ” we say strictly to those unauthorsised people using the government vehicles to hand over their vehicles to the government.”
He ordered the auction of the useless vehicles in a transparent manner.
He said that all the respective office bearers and departments to follow new instructions to avoid legal action.
