Karachi: Opposition leader in Karachi Metropolitan Council (KMC) and deputy chief of Jamat-e-Islami Saif Udding advocate has said that water crisis in Karachi has become grim adding it is joke that K-4 project to be completed in 2027.
Addressing the KMC assembly session Saif Uddin advocate lamenting on Sindh government said that the K-4 project expenditure climbed to Rs 200 billion from 20 billion.
The JI leader also declare the K-4 completion till 2027 as a joke to residents of Karachi.
He said that water pipe lines have been blasting constantly and residents are feeling immense difficulty owing to this.
He also strictly opposed giving a 5000 acres of land to K-electric saying that this step is not in the interest of the city.
Saif Uddin clarified that we will come to streets and will fight for the rights of the city adding every institution of the city has become a mafia.
He said that Jamat-e-Islami always been remained ahead in the interest of the country.
While the JI town Nazims were also staged protest outside the assembly hall against the water crisis in the city.
They demanded water for Karachi and rejected supply of water through tanker mafia. They also chanted slogans against Sindh government and Water board and Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab.
