TEHRAN: Israel has reportedly launched a series of airstrikes deep within Iranian territory, targeting key military infrastructure in the northwestern city of Tabriz and the southern city of Shiraz, Iranian media outlets.
Tasnim News Agency indicated that, late Friday, Tabriz was struck, with initial assessments suggesting damage to an airport and nearby air bases. Concurrent reports also confirmed an attack on a missile production facility in Shiraz by the Israeli Air Force.
These recent strikes follow Israel’s earlier operations that targeted Tehran, resulting in the deaths of senior Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists, intensifying concerns over the conflict’s expansion.
Iranian authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incidents. However, local emergency services have been mobilized, and reports indicate that flights at Tabriz International Airport have been temporarily suspended amid the ongoing situation.
