KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) is currently experiencing a significant downturn.
Last week, the market closed on a negative note, with the 100 Index declining by over 4,500 points in the final four days, resulting in a loss of approximately 600 billion Pakistani Rupees in market capitalization.
Today, the trading week has started on a bearish trend as well. At the opening of the trading session, the 100 Index fell by 2,972 points. During the course of the day, the index further declined by 5,028 points, bringing it down to 158,069 points.
This marks a nearly 3% decrease in the Pakistan Stock Exchange’s 100 Index, reflecting widespread investor concern and market instability.
