KARACHI: The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department has uncovered the alleged fraudulent appointment of six Secondary School Teachers (BS-16) in Mirpurkhas, with salaries reportedly drawn illegally in their names.
The department has written to the Accountant General Sindh and District Accounts Officers, seeking an inquiry into the suspicious appointments and recovery of all payments made to the individuals.
Following a review by a meeting chaired by the Director General (HR&T), authorities ordered the immediate closure of the six individuals’ personal IDs and suspension of their salaries. The department said the appointments had been declared fraudulent.
The six individuals identified in the case are Mir Fahad Ali, Anil Kumar, Shahrukh Khan, Abida Parveen, Zahid Ali and Arshad Ali.
According to the department, four of them were allegedly inducted under the Female Mirpurkhas cost centre, while two were shown as appointed under the Male Mirpurkhas cost centre. Personal IDs were allegedly issued and barcodes generated for fake offer orders to facilitate the appointments.
The Sindh Education Department has directed the authorities to block and centralise the IDs of all six individuals and recover any salaries illegally withdrawn in their names, while further action is being taken to prevent additional payments.
