21 Former world cricket captains write again to PM regarding Imran Khan’s medical treatment

WEB DESK: A group of 21 internationally renowned former cricket captains has sent another letter to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. 

In the letter, they reiterated their appeal for the medical treatment of former captain and PTI founder Imran Khan. The signatories expressed concern that recent developments do not align with the directions issued by the Supreme Court.

Among the 21 individuals who signed the letter are Michael Atherton, Alec Blackwell, Alan Border, Michael Bevan, Greg Chappell, Ian Chappell, Belinda Clark, Alistair Cook, Mike Gatting, Sunil Gavaskar, Lee Germon, Adam Gilchrist, David Gower, Kam Hoo, Nasser Hussain, Clive Lloyd, Kapil Dev, Arjuna Ranatunga, Andrew Strauss, Dileep Vingsarakar, Steve Waugh, and John Wright.

The letter states that the Supreme Court of Pakistan had ordered Imran Khan to be transferred to a hospital so that a medical board, including his personal physicians and his sister Dr. Azma Khan, could examine him. The court had also restored the family’s weekly visits. The signatories emphasized the importance of adhering to the court’s directives to ensure proper medical care for Imran Khan.
