Islamabad: Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Tuesday issued an order for hearing the petition of stoping the political parties to hold their rallies.
The SC issued the order for hearing the presidential reference seeking interpretation of article 63 (A) and Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) petition for stopping political parties to hold their rallies.
The SC said that they have no interest to call National Assembly (NA) session early adding that the court will not interfere in the matters of the parliament while the court urged that matters of the parliament be addressed within the parliament.
The SC order said that a hearing on the presidential reference is vital and we have less time adding that the government allied parties can become respondents in the case.
Insistence has been requested to take action against Speaker NA for not calling the lower house session on time, SC order said.
Attorney General ensured the SC that no any member including PTI members will not be stopped for casting their votes.
The SC ordered that all the counsels of the political parties submit their written arguments till March 24 as submission of the written arguments will help oral arguments be completed early.
The court also directed the attorney general to arrange meetings of political parties with district administration while the SC declared the suggestion to hold rally on appropriate place is welcoming.
For early completion of the case all the political parties should submit their written objectives.
The SC order further apprised that Inspector General (IG) Islamabad has ensured that the SIndh house incident will not be happened again.
Advocate general Islamabad has ensured that all the reservations of the Sindh government on the incident of the Sindh house will be removed.
For assistance in the cases, a notice has been issued to the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA).
