Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) issuing notices and asked the responses from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the delimitations committee till September 29 in the petition filed against the delimitations of two National Assembly seats and three seats of Punjab Assembly.
Acting Chief Justice Amir Farooq heard the case.
Petioner, Federal Minister Murtaza Mahmood, counsel arguing in the court said that changes were made in NA-173 and 174.
The counsel opined that violation of the election act section 20 was made by delimiting in the constitutincies.
He insisted the court that the notification of the ECP dated August 5 regarding delimititions be declared null and void.
The court also issuing notices called response of the respondents in the petition against delimitations of Punjab Assembly seats PA-82, PA-83 and PA- 84
