LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Kashmir on the 77th Black Day against India’s occupation of the region.
In a message, she emphasized that Kashmir held a special place in her heart, just as it did for every Pakistani.
She condemned the brutal action of India in Kashmir and paid tributes to the sacrifice of Kashmiri people.
Maryam highlighted the resilience of the Kashmir people in their fight for the right to self-determination, stressing that a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue was essential for regional stability. She assured that Pakistan would continue to support the Kashmiri cause and appealed to the international community to play its role in upholding the rights of Kashmiris.
Former Punjab CM and PML-N Vice President Hamza Shahbaz also marked the day, condemning ongoing atrocities in Kashmir and urging India to respect the Kashmiri people’s right to determine their future.
