ISLAMABAD: The JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has walked out of National Assembly Session and express disappointment.
While speaking on a point of order in the National Assembly, Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed his disappointment, saying there was a lack of seriousness in the proceedings of the session.
The JUI-F chief pointed out that the government benches were largely empty and stated that the government should have briefed the House on the prevailing security situation.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said, “I came to Parliament with great enthusiasm, but given the current circumstances, there was no sign of seriousness in the House.” Saying this, he walked out of the National Assembly session.
Speaking to the media at Parliament House, Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated that Indian aggression poses a threat to Pakistan’s security, and the nation has full confidence in Pakistan’s defensive capabilities.
He added that he had expected a resolution to be presented in the assembly today, or at least a debate on the current situation.
He further said, “Neither the Prime Minister, nor the Foreign Minister, nor any key minister was present in the House. Whom are we supposed to play the flute for in the assembly?”
Maulana Fazlur Rehman remarked that if India launches an attack, what is the strategy for the internal situation? He said they left the parliament due to the lack of seriousness in its proceedings.
