WEB DESK: English all-rounder Moeen Ali has explained his decision to focus on the Pakistan Super League (PSL) instead of returning to the Indian Premier League (IPL).
During a recent interview, Moeen Ali revealed that his previous experience in the IPL saw limited playing time, as he only participated in half the matches and had fewer batting opportunities. At this stage of his career, he is eager to get more game time and keep his form sharp.
He recalled that last season, while representing Kolkata Knight Riders, his chances on the field were scarce, which influenced his decision to sit out this year’s IPL. Now at 38 years old, Moeen expressed his determination to keep playing, enhance his skills, and prolong his cricketing journey.
Playing for Karachi Kings, Moeen Ali described his move to Pakistan as a pivotal decision. He added that the shorter schedule of the PSL makes it a more practical choice for him and his family.
He also mentioned that playing in the PSL has always been a dream of his. However, conflicts in scheduling often force overseas players to make tough choices. This time, Moeen Ali chose to prioritize the PSL, aligning with his personal and professional goals.
