ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) announced on Tuesday that the LPG rates for April 2026 will see a significant increase, with prices rising by Rs 78.28 per kilogram. As a result, the new price of LPG has reached Rs 304.12 per kg.

OGRA has formally issued a notification confirming the updated pricing structure. Along with the per kilogram rate, the cost of a domestic LPG cylinder has surged by Rs 923.71. Consequently, the price of an 11.8 kg household cylinder has jumped from its previous rate to Rs 3,588.59.

In contrast, for March, OGRA had announced a minor decrease in LPG prices, with an official notification reflecting the change. The price per kilogram was reduced by Rs 0.21, bringing the new rate to Rs 225.84. The cost of an 11.8 kg domestic cylinder had also been lowered by Rs 2.52, setting the new price at Rs 2,664.88.

Officials confirmed that these new prices will be implemented nationwide, following the latest pricing guidelines. LPG remains a vital fuel choice for domestic cooking and commercial use in areas with limited access to natural gas, with prices adjusted periodically based on market conditions and regulatory approvals.
