QUETTA: A sudden blaze broke out in the office of an advocate situated within a plaza in Quetta on Tuesday, The incident occurred at U-phone Chowk, a busy commercial area in the city.

Immediately after the fire was reported, a team from the Metropolitan Fire Brigade responded swiftly to the scene and managed to control the flames before they could spread further.

Historically, Quetta has experienced significant fires; notably, in January 2026, a large-scale fire devastated Haleem Plaza on Price Road, destroying over 120 shops and injuring three individuals, including two firefighters who were unconscious during rescue efforts. 

That fire started in the early hours and engulfed shops dealing in mobile phones, electronics, footwear, and clothing. Emergency services responded promptly, rescuing 15 people trapped inside, among them 14 hairdressers and the plaza’s security personnel.
